Eaton is Hiring a Screw Machine Operator Near Syracuse, NY
Eaton’s ES GEIS CHD division is currently seeking a Screw Machine Operator. The core hours are 6:30 am to 2:30 pm.
The hourly rate for this position is 20.07 per hour.

What you’ll do:
- Perform various threading, grooving, chamfering, turning, tapping, reaming, serrating, boring, facing, drilling and similar machining operations on all departmental conventional machines.
- Make adjustments, change, reset tooling to maintain specified dimensions as required.
- Load bar stock to insure the continuous operation of equipment.
- Check work with various measuring instruments and gages (verniers, micrometers, scale, etc.).
- Maintain close tolerances and work to drawings and layouts.
- Detect faulty operation or materials and report to supervision.
- Maintain equipment, machines, work area in a clean, safe, and orderly condition; sweep and mop as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum three (3) months machine operation experience preferred
- Ability to use shop arithmetic. Ability to read ordinary drawings or job layouts.
- Ability to use micrometers, protractors, depth, and fixed gauges. Knowledge of tools, machining methods, and cutting quality of various metals.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
